The export feature creates a comprehensive JSON file containing all Data Extension schemas, preserving folder structures. The import feature reads this JSON and recreates the Data Extensions and folders in your target instance, with options to skip existing DEs and recreate folder hierarchies.

Your code snippets and personal settings are stored locally by default, or securely synchronized if you enable cloud features. For AI assistance, only the relevant code context you select (or the necessary surrounding code for completions) is securely transmitted via API to the AI model provider (e.g., OpenAI). We prioritize data minimization.

Selected code context is shared with the AI model provider (currently OpenAI) solely for the purpose of generating responses or suggestions. We do not store this contextual code on our servers, nor do we share your snippets, authentication data, or other personal information with other third parties.

SFMC IntelliType requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function: access to read and modify content on Marketing Cloud domains (to enhance editors), local storage (for snippets/settings), and optional permissions for cloud synchronization if you enable it. All permissions are clearly listed on the Chrome Web Store.

If cloud sync is disabled, your snippets and settings remain local. If enabled, your encrypted snippets, authentication details, and team data are stored securely on our servers. Code sent for AI processing is not persistently stored by us.
